  About CET

Devi Ahilaya Vishwavidyalaya conducts common entrance test for the aspirants, who wish to seek admission in post graduate management courses in any discipline and for all integrated technical and management courses conducted by the university and its constituent colleges. The integrated technical courses include Computer Science, Hospital Administration and Pharmacy. The institutes that accept the score of the candidates in the entrance examination are Institute of Management Studies (IMS), International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS), Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), School of Economics (SOE), School of Commerce (SOC). Established in 1964, Devi Ahilaya Vishwavidyalaya is among the prominent Universities of the central India. Located in Indore, the University has won the centre for excellence award presented by Government of Madhya Pradesh. Also, it holds the distinction of being awarded with four star status, by NAAC.

In order to select the deserving candidates for post graduate management courses along with for integrated technical and management courses, Devi Ahilaya Vishwavidyalaya conducts entrance examination every year, namely, DAVV CET (Devi Ahilaya Vishwavidyalaya Common Entrance Test). Numerous test centers have been allocated across the country for the entrance exam.

  Examination Pattern for DAVV CET

Devi Ahilaya Vishwavidyalaya every year conducts DAVV CET for admission into various postgraduate and integrated courses. The entrance examination is divided into three groups. For every group separate entrance is conducted. Examination pattern for each group has been enlisted below:

Group A & Group B

For all postgraduate level management courses and for all Undergraduate level Management Courses, the question paper consists of objective questions having multiple choices. The candidate is required to choose the correct alternative. The questions will test the candidate’s skills, aptitude, and knowledge under following five sections :-

  • Quantitative ability
  • Data interpretation
  • Logical reasoning and general intelligence
  • English language comprehension
  • General awareness and awareness of socio-economic environment

The CET test comprises 75 questions (15 from each of the 5 sections mentioned above). Each question carries 3 marks for right answer & attracts a penalty of -1 mark for wrong answer.
